The US-CANADA tax technician prepares income tax returns for individuals and companies, both Canadian and American; sets up files for international and non-resident clients; participates in the preparation of various tax documents; and is called upon to collaborate with different tax specialists. The candidate ideally has 3 to 5 years of experience in US taxation. Experience in international taxation will be considered an important asset.
The tax expert supports clients in the effective application of the complex tax rules of Canadian taxation; suggests relevant tax planning during specific transactions (business purchase/sale, financing, succession, etc.); supports the team in the compliance of individual and corporate returns; guides clients through objection and voluntary disclosure; manages requests for audits from government agencies; and advises international and non-resident clients and supports their specific needs. The candidate ideally has 3 to 5 years of experience in Canadian taxation.
The Director of US taxation supports clients in the efficient application of the complex tax rules of US taxation; suggests relevant tax planning during specific transactions (business purchase/sale, financing, succession, etc.); supports the team in the compliance of individual and corporate declarations; guides clients through objection and voluntary disclosure; and advises international and non-resident clients and takes care of their specific needs. The candidate ideally has 3 to 5 years of experience in US taxation. Obtaining Enrolled Agent accreditation will be considered an important asset.
