Job description

Reporting to the manager, Tax expert will have the following main responsibilities:

  • Supporting our clients in the efficient application of the complex tax rules of Canadian tax;
  • Suggesting relevant tax planning during specific business buy/sell, financing, succession or other transactions;
  • Reviewing compliance of individual and company returns prepared by tax technicians;
  • Guiding clients through objections and voluntary disclosures;
  • Advising international and non-resident clients and taking care of their specific needs (Section 216, Certificates 116, Part XIII obligations, T1135, etc.);
  • Coordinating of tax technicians for the work to be done;
  • Presenting and explaining completed tax returns to clients;
  • Advising clients on tax matters;
  • Collaborating on all other files according to the needs of the Cabinet.

Required profile

  • E.S.S. or Master in Taxation or successful In-depth Tax Course from CPA Canada
  • Between 3 and 5 years of experience in Canadian tax
  • Bilingualism (oral and written)
  • Autonomy, resourcefulness and learning ability
  • Attention to detail and good management of priorities
